As a systemic therapist, I like to explore the influences that have made you who you are across your lifetime, based on the many systems you exist within. Where you were born, who your caregivers were, and the various experiences of your life all shaped you into the being you are today. Let me help you explore those systems and influences, and release what no longer serves you from those past experiences so that you may feel aligned with your most authentic self.

----- October 2021 to present
Although currently living in Tacoma, Washington, I grew up in a small town in eastern Long Island, New York. For my undergraduate education, I attended Connecticut College, and majored in Sociology and Philosophy. Before attending graduate school at Seattle University in 2019, I was a certified massage therapist living in San Diego, California for six years. At a certain point in my career as a massage therapist, I began to notice that many of my clients would talk to me about their lives while on the massage table, and from there I realized that I was a great listener, and that I have a deep interest in helping people better their lives (beyond easing muscular tension).
I have always been fascinated by how people relate to each other and navigate life’s many challenges. In my graduate program for couple and family therapy at Seattle University, I learned that we as individuals cannot help but be shaped by the systems we exist within, often referred to as “social location.” From the very beginning of our life, we are influenced by our caregivers (whoever raised us, and anyone else in the home), as well as the actual location of where we were born. And as we age and move through life, we find that we are a part of many more systems such as school, career, romantic relationships, etc. And of course, race, economic class, gender identity, and sexual orientation are also defining systems that we
are part of.
In my work with clients, I aim to identify the influences of all of those systems on the individual person, and help to sort out the beliefs or values that may be causing cognitive dissonance, or inner conflict. I love helping people discover what thought patterns they have that no longer serve them, so that they may get in tune with their highest self, which allows for more meaningful and authentic connections with others.
